The inspiration for Changle Lanshan came from the desire to create a space that encourages people to empty their minds and embrace tranquility. The design incorporates elements of oriental architecture, such as eaves, with modern design principles. It also pays homage to the local lanes culture in Fuzhou City. The interior decoration showcases the local traditional industry in its ornaments and the lakes culture in the negotiation area display.
What sets Changle Lanshan apart from other designs is its use of the same material on the wall surfaces to build spatial levels. The ceiling integrates with the architectural appearance, creating a seamless blend of interior and exterior. Artistic installations and ceiling lights highlight the local nautical culture and textile tradition, adding a layer of cultural depth to the design.
The project utilized a variety of materials, including cement cave stone, Maya grey marble, Prague grey marble, and wood-like coating. Covering an area of 800 square meters, the sales center is designed to help customers understand the construction plans of new buildings and houses. It also provides a space for customers to interact with sales managers and make purchases.
Located in the heart of Changle District, Fuzhou City, the project took about two months to complete. The designers conducted extensive research on the traditional architectural culture in Fuzhou City, the design trend of oriental culture, and the business development of culture-involved consumption economy. They faced the challenge of understanding the local culture and choosing art installations that align with it.
Changle Lanshan Sales Center is a perfect example of how design can honor the past while looking towards the future. It is a celebration of Fuzhou's rich culture, seamlessly integrated with modern architectural principles. The project is a testament to the designers' ability to create a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, earning them the prestigious Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020.
